Les Escures Malbec
Delicious and elegant Malbec from Cahors in the south west of France.
Even though the Argentines made Malbec famous internationally, it's Cahors in France where it comes from originally. Traditionally, Malbec from Cahors is heavy, full bodied, oaky, high alcohol, and needs a decade before it's close to being drinkable. Fabien Jouves does it differently, with a much more hands off approach to winemaking, which helps produce a style of Malbec that is elegant, fresh, very drinkable, and much more like a Pinot Noir in texture and mouthfeel.
His wines are exceptional, and this version is well worth a taste!
