The Viré Clessé Terroir de Clessé is an elegant white wine of chardonnay. The grapes come from different small vineyards located on the village of Clessé.
The Viré Clessé Terroir de Clessé has a green gold dress. The clay-limestone soils ploughed regularly reveal the terroir of Clessé with lot of nobility. The nose is very complex and expresses the fruit but also minerality. This wine has both round and bright, revealing subtle nuances of white and exotic fruits.
Domaine des Gandines was created by Joseph DANANCHET in 1925. The first vineyard planted was the exceptional single vineyard called “Les Gandines”. The domain spread over only one hectare and half at this moment. In 1979, Robert DANANCHET continues the work of his father Marc DANANCHET and respects tradition, the Terroir by not using herbicides, and no chemical fertilizer. He increased the vineyard’s size and gets eight hectares. The vineyard is conducted in organic and spreads over more than ten hectares since that Benjamin DANANCHET is arrived in 2005. The domain was certified in organic in 2009. Now, Benjamin and Robert are working together with the same passion, and with a simple philosophy, to produce great wines of Chardonnay, by respecting the Terroir, the wild life and their health.
